Steve Bangs
Chief Executive OfficerSteve was appointed CEO in early 2022, and brought with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the property industry.
He’s been with the company for over 10 years and was previously Regional Managing Director for our London & South East region. With more than three decades in construction and operational development, Steve has helped solidify Pegasus’s reputation for exceptional build quality and meticulously considered specifications.
Steve cares deeply about giving great customer service and creating a working environment that makes every team member feel valued and empowered. Under Steve's guidance, Pegasus Homes continues to thrive as a leader in the industry, driven by a shared commitment to customer service and a big focus on innovation.
Outside of work, Steve loves the thrill of outdoor adventures and is an avid skier and keen golfer. But he also cherishes his family time and believes in the importance of work-life balance: the company culture he champions is one where personal well-being and professional success go hand-in-hand.
Chris Powell
Chief Operating OfficerChris joined Pegasus Homes in 2017 as a Project Director, and has progressed through the business to become our COO.
Before Pegasus, Chris was a director at a leading project management firm, where he honed his skills delivering complex projects and managing large, diverse teams. He’s been pivotal in making sure intricate projects are well managed and executed.
With more than 20 years of industry expertise, Chris is dedicated to improving the built environment and creating spaces that are both captivating and functional. He’s also very keen to promote fresh ideas for home design and customer service that will make our customers’ lives better.
Outside work, Chris is a keen runner and spends many an hour exploring trails around his native Berkshire. Downtime with his young family involves lots of outdoor cooking and intrepid adventures.
David Clark
Chief Financial OfficerDavid became our Chief Financial Officer in 2019. With a wealth of experience in finance and strategic leadership, David has helped drive the company’s evolution. Prior to Pegasus Homes, he served as the CFO of Anthology, a housing developer in London.
David's expertise spans over two decades, and he’s been an impactful Finance Director in various sectors. He contributed to the remarkable growth of a large central London residential developer, driving a threefold increase in revenue over six years. Recognised for his financial acumen, tight cash management, and for implementing clear financial controls, David maintains a sharp commercial focus to look after the company’s bottom line.
Beyond the boardroom, David loves spending quality time with his family and friends, exploring new destinations, and having outdoor adventures on two wheels, on foot, or in a boat.
Claudia Desai
Chief People OfficerClaudia has a rich background in Human Resources, and has built and grown our in-house HR team, creating a culture of support and partnership across all areas of the company.
Claudia's HR career began in retail, where she honed her skills, before she embarked on a path of academic and professional growth. Freshly armed with a Masters Degree, she moved into mergers and acquisitions, specialising in engineering consultancy firms. Her expertise and passion for people shine through in every aspect of her work: she wants every team member to thrive and succeed and believes professional development is a continuous process.
Beyond the office walls, Claudia's a creative and sociable spirit. Whether she's mastering the art of home improvement, or belting out tunes at karaoke nights, her dedication to maintaining a great work-life balance and continuous development is clear: she certainly practises what she preaches.
