Living in Bude
Bude is a paradise for nature lovers and history fans and it’s leading the way with the increasing demand for responsible and sustainable tourism. There’s plenty of culture to get immersed in too: a thriving art scene, a local sea shanty band and both folk and jazz festivals every year. And as for sportier residents: a bowls club, golf course, surfing (of course!) and the proven health-giving benefits of open water swimming, for which you have the choice of the bracing Atlantic Ocean, or the much-loved Bude Sea Pool.
On your doorstep
It’s only a short walk to both Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches, Sainsbury’s, the Post Office, a pharmacy, health centre and library. When you fancy a day trip, go south along the A39 Atlantic Highway to Tintagel Castle and the beautiful harbour village of Boscastle, or for shopping head north to Bideford and the attractions of north Devon. For mainline train connections, the nearest station is Okehampton.
