    Life in Wokingham

    Wokingham nestles in the Lodden Valley, between Reading, Camberley and Bracknell. The town has strong links with its past – it was well known for silk production, its bell foundries and brick-making - has held weekly markets since 1219 and has a still-thriving 200-year-old cricket club. Market day is still a big draw, plus there’s an abundance of diverting places nearby, like the Pinewood Miniature Railway (always a hit with younger visitors), and Dinton Pastures Country Park: 335 acres of countryside, bird watching, fishing lakes and walks. 

    On your doorstep

    You’re within a short stroll of a Waitrose, a medical centre, the green space of Cantley Park and a diverse selection of shops, coffee shops and eateries. Nearby bus services run regularly to Reading, Camberley and Bracknell, and Wokingham station is just over half a mile away, from where you can catch a train to Reading in 10 minutes and be in London in well under an hour. The M4 runs a few miles north of the town.
