This beloved chain has three establishments located across Berkshire, with one on Crowthorne high street only a five minute walk from our Crowthorne community. It’s well known among locals for its authentic Italian atmosphere and bright yellow building.

Serving delicious Italian cuisine, their extensive menu will have something to please everyone!

Local Pub Grub

The Golden Retriever is a favourite spot with locals near Crowthorne to grab some classic pub grub. Its selection of comforting, homely dishes is exactly what everyone needs from time to time. 

The unique name stems from the building’s history as the original site, which was said to be a forester’s cottage dating back to 1841, was later developed into dog kennels!

Cumin Garden

The Cumin Garden in Crowthorne serves fine Indian cuisine. Offering both takeaway and dine-in options, we would certainly recommend booking a table for the full experience. 

Its authentic menu of Bangladeshi and Indian dishes are prepared by a professional chef using the finest spices and ingredients. Speciality dishes include Green Massala, Chicken Achari and Misty Lau, or there’s all your favourite classical choices. 

The Bird in Hand

This delightful bar and pub has a cosy wood panelled restaurant, providing all the charm of a country house dining room with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. There are traditional pub games including pool and darts, and of course an area where all the big games are screened live. 

You can be sure to receive a warm welcome from the owners Karl and Lisa who strive to provide guests with an unforgettable dining experience and excellent service. They even have prosecco and espresso martinis on tap – what more could you want!
