Woking is not only home to our wonderful Moor’s Nook community offering a charming collection of new apartments, but it is also an area that boasts a thriving arts and culture scene for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re an arts, theatre or history fan, we’ve rounded up some of our top artistic and cultural highlights that can be enjoyed in the local area this season:  

The Lightbox Gallery 

A cultural hub in the heart of Woking, the four stunning galleries host a huge range of exhibitions, which change regularly. The gallery hosts exhibitions throughout the year as well as a programme of talks and tours, workshops and events – we love the sound of the Edible England Canal Trips. 

Woking Drama Festival 

The festival is hosted by the Woking Drama Association and held at the Rhonda McGraw Theatre. The community theatre puts on a varied programme of entertainment throughout the year including musical theatre, comedy, opera, dance, drama and youth performances. The Drama Festival is a true highlight of the events calendar which is all about promoting community theatre. 

Claremont Landscape Garden 

Owned by the National Trust, Claremont is a stunning Grade I listed and restored 18th Century landscape garden not far from Woking in Esher and is a lovely place to soak up history and art. There are a series of guided walks which focus on the illustrious history of Claremont and the beautiful gardens. The walks are popular so booking is advisable.
