Our Renaissance Cranleigh Coves community is set in the beautiful village of Cranleigh, Surrey and has a lovely rural setting close to Winterfold Forest. Nestling in a quintessential English village on the edge of the rolling Surrey Hills, the area is bursting with rural delights and cultural pleasures, so the interior design of our new homes needed to reflect the picturesque style of its surroundings.
We spoke with Rebecca Harris at Dapa Interiors who created the warm and welcoming interiors of this new community in Cranleigh.
Could you tell us a bit more about Dapa Interiors?
Co-owned by Rob Burton & Daniel Mumford, our interiors are tailored specifically around our clients’ requirements on each and every project. We see our clients as partners, an extension of the experience that our clients want to deliver to their purchases. We offer bespoke design in both our design and relationships, take a unique and individual approach to each new scheme and use bespoke furniture and artwork.
What inspired your interior design at our Cranleigh Coves community?
The setting of Cranleigh Coves is a beautiful & rural village near Winterfold Forest where the purchasers can enjoy both stunning surroundings & a cultural hubbub of live music & theatre, restaurants & pubs, sport & social clubs. With this in mind, we have created an inspiring & vibrant scheme while reflecting the Arts & Crafts of the original build & location, alongside ensuring warmth and comfort are key too.
How would you describe the interior of Cranleigh Coves?
Our inspiration is from the original Arts & Crafts architecture. We complimented & expanded this original design with a contemporary classic scheme in beautiful rich smokey blues, olive greens & ochre velvets. Striking artwork, oak, glass, rattan & brass finishes all combine to create an upbeat while at the same time calming environment, resulting in a comfortable, luxury home.
What have you enjoyed most about working on this project?
It’s always so good to work with great clients, and on projects where there is a historical element for us, to then compliment to suit the buyers needs & aspirations.
What interior design trends can we expect to see in 2022?
Trends for 2022/23 are still very much based on how we all feel whilst in the midst of the pandemic and so upbeat colours/warmth/connecting with the outside via natural organic textures & planting are very prevalent. The key colours being combined with naturals of woods & ceramics are lilacs, yellows and greens with soft hues along with the depth of colours too.
Any top tips for new owners?
To embrace your new home & add new elements that will make you feel good, warm & upbeat, alongside your favourite pieces you’ve loved over the years & that still take pride of place.
