Like other settlements along the River Wye, Wooburn Green is an ancient centre of milling. From 1235 to 1999, Glory Mill produced corn and paper, using the river’s current to power its machinery. Inspired by the rich industrial history of mills in the area, Wooburn Bales has been designed and named to reflect the Victorian industrial buildings and workshops, in particular the once renowned paper mills found around
Wooburn and the wider area – and makes the most of views across the stunning Chiltern Hills.

The building’s industrial-era-inspired architecture also nods to the village’s manufacturing heritage. Step through the brick portico into a stylish reception area.
