This modern and welcoming community was designed by the award-winning practice Coffey Architects. They’ve created a community of tranquil homes around a sociable central pavilion that looks out on a relaxing walled garden: yours to enjoy all year round. Despite being in such a peaceful setting, you’re just a short stroll from Cobham’s bustling town centre, with all its shopping and amenities, plus the M25 and M3 are both within a few minutes’ drive.
The central pavilion is the heart of Cobham Bowers: this is where residents socialise or just drop by to enjoy a glass of wine and the views of the walled garden. The yoga and exercise space is popular for organised classes and there’s a guest suite for visiting friends and family. All apartments come with a car parking space and there’s guest parking too.
The pavilion lounge is the physical and social hub of the whole community, a stylish extension of your living and socialising space. Meet a neighbour for a companionable cup of tea, enjoy an impromptu glass of wine after an evening stroll, or just pop in with the papers and watch the world go by.
Whether yoga or pilates is your thing, or you’re a curious novice, the stretch studio is a calm and peaceful space, whether you practise by yourself, or join in a class. Residents with all levels of skill are invited to make frequent use of the studio, and feel its benefits. It can also be booked if you want to bring in your own private instructor.
The walled garden is a joy all year round - its landscape design was influenced by the picturesque gardens of historic Painshill Park, just a short stroll away. The planting is carefully considered so that there’s always something lovely in its prime and you’ll find generous seating for alfresco entertaining.
Cobham is such a delightful area to explore, so when visiting friends or family want to make the most of their time with you, the guest suite is a wonderful option for them to stay in. As well as boutique hotel-standard decor, it has an en-suite, and there’s ample guest parking too.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom homes come with car parking and many have private outdoor spaces, designed to make the very most of the views. Top-storey homes feature high ceilings and some two-bedroom homes have the space and flexibility to make a third bedroom. Life in Cobham
The village sits on the River Bourne, with the 1,400 acres of Cobham Common on its outskirts, so it’s as green and pleasant as a place can be, with a thriving high street. And for the sporty: active football, rugby, cricket, tennis and bowls clubs. Local pubs include the Four Horseshoes, where drinkers can sit and watch horses being shod at the nearby farrier’s, or you could choose to enjoy a picnic on the banks of the River Mole.
Conveniently on your doorstep
You’re just a 10-minute stroll from the high street, with its medical centre, pharmacy, shopping and dining, and a Waitrose supermarket. By train, London is a 40 minutes from Cobham & Stoke D’Abernon stations, or 25 minutes from nearby Woking, while the A3 junction at Cobham gives you a direct route to the M25, so you can be at both Heathrow and Gatwick airports in half an hour, or even less.
